Grandad’s eyes, a landscape photomontage is made from images (positive and negative) generated from high resolution digital scans of negatives of photos that my grandfather took whilst cycling in Norway and the Alps in the 1930s - quite something considering that he was declared unfit to fight in both World Wars because of a heart condition! As well as a keen cyclist, he was an accomplished photographer (though sadly I never took the opportunity to learn this skill from him), and a man of his generation, who would leave
his wife (who he had met in a cycling club) behind and go off on cycling trips by himself without telling her when he would be home!
