(Printed A4 images 3m x 3m)
Conceptualized at the height of the ‘me too’ media presence; I had inherited a book of images of Roman busts from my recently deceased mother (who in some important ways, was also a victim of men). These images, virtually all of men, struck me as constituting a historical record of ‘the gaze’. Here ~50 male images are positioned around a single image of a woman. All but one have had their eyes removed, yet still maintain their gaze. They thereby reach back as a contiguous historical reference – hence a ‘She too’ moment.
